Many adults have never had a meaningful conversation about their scoliosis.
They don't understand what it is and what they can do for self-care,
so they are often fearful and worried.
Basic education and simple tips can make a big difference!
Common Questions to be Discussed:
What is scoliosis, and why do I have it?
Why is my back shaped this way?
What are the current concepts of exercise and care for scoliosis?
Is it safe to exercise?
If so, how do I do so without making things worse?
How should I sit and what are good sleep positions?
What are reasonable goals for an adult with scoliosis?
( stabilizing the curve/curves, managing pain, improving daily habits to minimize stress on spine - just a few examples )
This workshop is for adults who would like to know more about their scoliosis
I'll keep the class size small so we can have Q and A and discussions as we go!
